Reading:
Deuteronomy 30:1-10, 15-20

“When…thou shalt call them to mind” (1).

Did I remember anything this week of the things of God which I had forgotten?

And how shall I keep from forgetting yet again?

I’ll tell you one thing I forgot. No, two.

“In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” (Proverbs 3:6).

“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you” (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

Oh, and this one also:

“Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer” (Psalm 19:14).

Whew! 😥

So…what did you forget?

Isaiah 5:18-30

The following tragic verse fragment provokes the question:

“Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people…” (25).

Isn’t that tragic?

Doesn’t that give you a sense of dismay?

Might it make you wonder what the therefore is there for?

I am so grateful not to serve an irrational, fickle God who gets mad for reasons unknown to me. He has clearly revealed His will. I want to know it!
