This Is a Stick-Up!

So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.

Reading:

Just say, “No.”

“My son, if thou be surety for thy friend, if thou hast stricken thy hand with a stranger” (Proverbs 6:1).

“Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth” (Proverbs 6:2).

“Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand of the hunter, and as a bird from the hand of the fowler” (Proverbs 6:5).

Reading:

“Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings” (1 Peter 2:1).

All. Of. It.

Don’t hang on to it.

Let it go.

Drop it…and get out of there.

It sounds so easy.

I don’t think some of those trouble me. And I’m glad.

But malice and envy can ensnare me so quickly at times.

They’ve all got to go.

Otherwise, how shall I…
