Which we have heard and known,
and our fathers have told us.

We will not hide them from their children,
shewing to the generation to come
the praise of the Lord,
and his strength,
and his wonderful works that he hath done.

That the generation to come
might know them,
even the children which should be born;
who should arise
and declare them to their children.

That they might set their hope in God,
and not forget the works of God,
but keep his commandments.

When he slew them,
then they sought him:
and the returned and inquired early after God.

And they remembered that God was their rock,
and the high God their redeemer.

So he fed them
according to the integrity of his heart:
and guided them
by the skilfulness of his hands.

God is great.

God is good.

God is known.

art to be feared:
and who may stand in thy sight
when once thou art angry?

Thou didst cause judgment
to be heard from heaven;
the earth feared,
and was still,

When God arose to judgment,

Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee:
the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.

Vow,
and pay unto the Lord your God:
let all that be round about him
bring presents unto him
that ought to be feared.
