Alternate title: Showing You My Faith

My faith is weak.

That’s my impression of it, anyway.

So, in that context as well as in the context of my life the last while, these portions from James 2:18-26 really connect to my heart:

I will shew thee my faith by my works.

But wilt thou know, O vain man,
that faith without works is dead?

Seest thou how faith wrought with his works,
and by works was faith made perfect?

And he was called the Friend of God.

Faith without works is dead…

Question is: How well connected with my heart will that stay today?

My faith has been put to the test.

And found weak and wanting.

So I am again “forced” to cry out to God for faithfulness and faith.

…The trying of your faith worketh patience.

…Ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally….

But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering.
For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea
driven with the wind and tossed.

For let not that man think
that he shall receive anything of the Lord.
