The King of Glory

Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.

Psalm 24:10

Reading:

Psalm 24

“Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?” (Psalm 24:3).

Yeah. Who shall?

Do I get to? May I?

(And why should I want to?)

“He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully” (Psalm 24:4).

Oh.

I’m grateful again for Christ’s work for me and in me, giving me bold access to God.

If it weren’t for His work, I couldn’t. I and my good works aren’t good enough.

Sustainer, Too

I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.

Psalm 3:5

Reading:

Psalm 3

Lifter up?

Yeah. Like this:

“But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head” (Psalm 3:3).

For when I’m under attack.

For when I have failed in my pride.

For when I’m cast down and humiliated.

My shield, my glory, my lifter.

Just what I need; exactly what I need!
