Recognize and acknowledge the Source of all good!

The recipient didn’t recognize the source of her blessings:

She did not know that I gave her corn.

from Psalm 30:7

Not knowing — seemingly out of willful ignorance — the recipient didn’t acknowledge. Or give thanks. Or humbly recognize the source. So…

Therefore will I return, and take away my corn.

Lessons for me this morning:

  1. Remember the source from Whom all blessings flow.
  2. Give Him thanks.
  3. Accept His unending ownership of all and everything.
  4. Be a faithful steward of what He has given me.
  5. Presume on it and He will take it back.

Are those accurate, legitimate lessons? What do you say? And what do you have to add?

Oh, and here’s the full reading I engaged last night: Continue reading
