Yesterday afternoon I accepted sick friend’s Sunday School class. Young men. “A New Heaven and a New Earth” — 2 Peter 3:7-14; Revelation 21:1-8. Studying for it now. Wish I could have got to “Thoughts for the Week” this week!
Here I’ll “live blog” some of my preparations. I’ll begin by pasting in most of my notes so far. And will plan to add more every ten minutes or so. Continue reading
Amen! Yes! Absolutely! God is good!
He also does good.
Even when He uses or allows affliction.
I will continue to come back to that in faith.
In that I rest.
Or must, anyway.
Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O Lord,
according unto thy word.Before I was afflicted
I went astray….Thou art good,
and doest good;
teach me thy statutes.It is good for me
that I have been afflicted;
that I might learn thy statutes.The law of thy mouth
is better unto me
than thousands of gold and silver.Psalm 119:65-72
Even now, I want that last statement to be my testimony as well.
Even now, when I truly need thousands of that stuff, I want to be able to say that I treasure God’s Word far more.
Do you have any practical pointers on how to reach that point?
