As you might guess, I got to Psalm 64 this morning.

Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer:
preserve my life from fear of the enemy.

The righteous shall be glad in the Lord,
and shall trust in him;
and all the upright in heart shall glory.

So there you are: No Fear.

Heard and preserved — so no fear.

So be glad, trust, and glory!

(Read it for yourself in Psalm 64.)

Early!

Like this:

O God, thou art my God;
early will I seek thee:
my soul thirsteth for thee
in a dry and thirsty land,
where no water is.

Because thy lovingkindness is better than life,
my lips shall praise thee.

I’m 51 years old. It’s too late for me to seek God early in my life that way.

But it’s only a little after seven in the morning here in Oregon. That still qualifies as early, doesn’t it?

Or how about seeking God early in the process of making a decision?

Or early in a problem or affliction or test?

Seek God early!

Oh, I didn’t tell you: Psalm 63.
