Yes, I know that Thanksgiving Day in the United States is past.

But everyday should be a day of giving thanks.

Everywhere.

Especially when I am consciously presenting myself before God.

Let us come before his presence
with thanksgiving,
and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.

For he is our God:
and we are the people of his pasture,
and the sheep of his hand.

Psalm 85

Time for Psalm 94. Here are some excerpts to draw you:

Blessed is the man
whom thou chastenest, O Lord,
and teachest him out of thy law;

That thou mayest give him rest
from the days of adversity….

Unless the Lord had been my help….

When I said,
My foot slippeth;
thy mercy, O Lord, held me up.

In the multitude of my thoughts within me
thy comforts delight my soul.

I like that!

I have many thoughts. Among them…prominently…I want an awareness of God’s comfort.

And an embracing of it.

And by it.
