I know, O Lord,
that thy jugments are right,
and that thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me.

Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness
be for my comfort….

Let thy tender mercies come unto me….

Let those that fear thee turn unto me….

Let my heart be sound….

Psalm 119:73-80

Amen! Yes! Absolutely! God is good!

He also does good.

Even when He uses or allows affliction.

I will continue to come back to that in faith.

In that I rest.

Or must, anyway.

Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O Lord,
according unto thy word.

Before I was afflicted
I went astray….

Thou art good,
and doest good;
teach me thy statutes.

It is good for me
that I have been afflicted;
that I might learn thy statutes.

The law of thy mouth
is better unto me
than thousands of gold and silver.

Psalm 119:65-72

Even now, I want that last statement to be my testimony as well.

Even now, when I truly need thousands of that stuff, I want to be able to say that I treasure God’s Word far more.

Do you have any practical pointers on how to reach that point?
