Reading:
Proverbs 24:13-23

I’ve been “down” before.

Even recently.

Spiritually, emotionally, financially, socially, morally, physically, businesswise-ly — like I say, I’ve been “down” before. (Thankfully, not all at once!)

So why does it keep happening?

Well, I don’t know all the reasons, but one is simple: I keep getting back up.

“For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief” (16).

By God’s grace, I’ll keep getting back up.

And by God’s grace, my “down” times will become farther and farther apart.

Reading:

Proverbs 24:1-12

When I read verses eleven and twelve, I pause.

“If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain;”

“If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?”

Like I said, I read them and pause.

And reflect.

Then resume my journey.

Doing what about it?

Side note: My plans for this post had been merely to write this: Pray for me.
