Love God With Your All

This is the first and great commandment.

Matthew 22:38

Matthew 22:34-40

What is it like to love God with my all?

Have I placed any command higher than loving God?

How about above loving my neighbor?

“And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself” (Matthew 22:39).

How is the second commandment like unto the first?

What are some implications of loving my neighbor as myself?

Am I ever exempted from the second commandment?

How should the first two commandments affect my adherence to the others?

“On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets” (Matthew 22:40).

What shall I do if I’m hanging all the law and the prophets on something else?

Am I also supposed to hang all my life on these two commandments?

The Poor. Here.

For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.

Matthew 26:11

Reading:

Matthew 26:6-13

What gift do I have planned for Jesus today?

When does another’s gift to Jesus make me upset?

“For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor” (Matthew 26:8).

In analyzing “waste” and stewardship, am I using the same standard as Jesus uses?

Am I also missing opportunities to praise another rather than criticizing him?

The poor. Oh, yeah, the poor. Does God see I care?
