Loss and Life

Now. Then.

And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.

Reading:

Will I admit when I don’t understand what Jesus says in His Word?

Am I willing to endure suffering in order to enjoy joy?

What will I ask of the Father in Jesus’ name?

What does my joy meter read…and why?

At what do I grieve?

Would I know Jesus if I saw Him?

“Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full” (John 16:24).

I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

Reading:

“…The sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out” (John 10:3).

“…He goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice” (John 10:4).

“And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him…” (John 10:5).

“…I am the door of the sheep” (John 10:7).

Surely when I follow my Shepherd I am followed by goodness and mercy!
