Behold, we put bits in the horses’ mouths…
and we turn about their whole body.

Behold also the ships,
which though they be so great…
yet are they turned about with a very small helm…

Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!

So is the tongue among our members…

James 3:1-6

Alternate title: Showing You My Faith

My faith is weak.

That’s my impression of it, anyway.

So, in that context as well as in the context of my life the last while, these portions from James 2:18-26 really connect to my heart:

I will shew thee my faith by my works.

But wilt thou know, O vain man,
that faith without works is dead?

Seest thou how faith wrought with his works,
and by works was faith made perfect?

And he was called the Friend of God.

Faith without works is dead…

Question is: How well connected with my heart will that stay today?
