I see pictures of them on the Web, in the newspaper, and in magazines. But they are distant from me.

Various regional and international agencies send me infrequent brochures and letters informing me about them. But they are distant from me.

I even see them in real life in my travels locally and farther. Yet they remain distant to me.

Jesus said I would always have them with me.

The pillars of the early church gave the Apostle Paul instructions concerning them: “Remember the poor” (Galatians 2:10).

Jesus also said that remembering the poor is remembering Him.

Christian Aid Ministries provides our family with one of the principal ways in which we do this.

“I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel” (Galatians 1:6).

Where does Jesus fit into my life? Perhaps I have become more removed from Him than I am willing to recognize.

Prayer, Bible reading, meditation, doing all in His name, my thoughts captive to Him — those are some results of Jesus in my life.

The Apostle Paul was not removed from Jesus. Others could tell. Others could experience Christ in Paul.

“And they glorified God in me” (Galatians 1:24).
