Once again, this really fits the need of my heart and the state of my mind this morning:

God is my defence. —Psalm 59:9.

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. -Psalm 28:7

When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him. -Isaiah 59:19

We may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. -Hebrews 13:6

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? -Psalm 27:1

As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about his people from henceforth even for ever. -Psalm 125:2

Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice. -Psalm 63:7

For thy name’s sake lead me, and guide me. -Psalm 31:3

How long wilt thou forget me, O Lord? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me? How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? -Psalm 13:1,2

Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. -Psalm 27:9

He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. -Psalm 91:15

The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them. -Psalm 145:18,19

I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. -John 14:18

Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. -Matthew 28:20

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. -Psalm 46:1
