No good thing within.
No good thing withheld.
And how to arrive at the second from the first.
Here, notice this from my reading this morning in Daily Light on the Daily Path:
“I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing” (Romans 7:18).
That made me think of the other time “no good thing” appears in the King James Version:
“For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly” (Psalm 84:11).
That is shocking in its inclusivity. What a motivator to walk uprightly before God today!
Well, here are two more excerpts (read it all | buy the book):
“Perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord GOD” (Ezekiel 16:14).
“Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us” (Psalm 90:17).
God’s beauty upon us? Wow!
Who will see it upon us today?
