Things look dark. Failure frolics freely. Defeat desponds destructively. Losers’ lives languish.
But God has hope for the hopeless and winning wings for the weary!
I was so blessed by my bedtime reading last night:
Fight the good fight of faith. -1 Timothy 6:12
We were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears. -2 Corinthians 7:5
Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. -2 Kings 6:16
Strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. -Ephesians 6:10
Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. -1 Samuel 17:45
God is my strength and power: . . . he teacheth my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms. -1 Samuel 22:33,35
Our sufficiency is of God. -2 Corinthians 3:5
The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. -Psalm 34:7
Behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. -2 Kings 6:17
The time would fail me to tell of [those] who through faith subdued kingdoms, . . . out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. -Hebrews 11:32-34
