I don’t understand God’s ways.
Too often, I do not even know them.
And that’s how He has arranged my thoughts relative to His.
Despite that, He wants to be known and understood and loved. So He has reached out to us. And continues to reach to us. Amazing!
Yet how easily I forget Him. Oh for the heart of a panting hart!
Here is the latest trigger for such thoughts, read just a few minutes ago:
Thy thoughts are very deep. -Psalm 92:5
We . . . do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. -Colossians 1:9
That ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. -Ephesians 3:17-19
O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! -Romans 11:33
My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. -Isaiah 55:8,9
Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to usward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered. -Psalm 40:5

Able to comprehend and know.
Able to lay hold of and know through experience.
That’s attainable. And that is His work also:
That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man” (Ephesians 3:16).
May the state of my heart be such that God can grant that to me.
