The recipient didn’t recognize the source of her blessings:
She did not know that I gave her corn.
from Psalm 30:7
Not knowing — seemingly out of willful ignorance — the recipient didn’t acknowledge. Or give thanks. Or humbly recognize the source. So…
Therefore will I return, and take away my corn.
Lessons for me this morning:
- Remember the source from Whom all blessings flow.
- Give Him thanks.
- Accept His unending ownership of all and everything.
- Be a faithful steward of what He has given me.
- Presume on it and He will take it back.
Are those accurate, legitimate lessons? What do you say? And what do you have to add?
