I went to bed last night, very troubled.
Like Peter, I “saw the wind boisterous.” And like him, I “was afraid.”
So this morning’s reading was especially good for my soul…
He shall dwell between his shoulders. -Deuteronomy 33:12
Underneath are the everlasting arms. -Deuteronomy 33:27
When he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? -Matthew 14:30,31
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand. -Psalm 37:23,24
The beloved of the Lord shall dwell in safety by him; and the Lord shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders. -Deuteronomy 33:12
Casting all your care upon Him, for he careth for you. -1 Peter 5:7
He that toucheth you, toucheth the apple of his eye. -Zechariah 2:8
They shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all. -John 10:28,29
Daily Light on the Daily Path — April 26, Morning
Yes, like Peter, I see the wind boisterous. And fear tries to embrace me. Tight. Does embrace me. I need the everlasting arms, underneath.
Like Peter, I need to cast all my care upon Jesus, for He cares for me.
