I read this last night before going to bed:

I would have you without carefulness. —I Cor. 7:32.

He careth for you. —The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.

O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. —Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Wow! Can you believe that?!

I admit to struggling against unbelief at times. No, I don’t mean that I think the Scriptures are untrue.

I simply mean that at times I have a hard time accepting that God intends for me to apply these verses to certain circumstances in my life.

I want to believe enough to tell God what He already knows: My requests, my needs.
