I was glad
when they said
unto me,
Let us go
into the house
of the Lord.

Psalm 122

Why should that make me glad?

  1. I have the option of going to God’s house.
  2. I don’t have to go by myself.
  3. Someone wants me to go with him.
  4. I matter at least that much to someone.

So…can I convey (“channel,” if you will) that kind of gladness to someone else?

  1. No doubt David was reflecting on past experiences in the house of the Lord too. So when the suggestion was made to go up to the house of the Lord, it gladdened his heart. Those were times of refreshing. Those past times left him with a peace and satisfaction of having been near the Lord, hearing from him and getting direction for the future. These are reasons I too find myself always gladdened and eager to be in the Lord’s house.

Surely you could add something...
