I need to prepare to teach the men’s Sunday School class this morning.
But first some excerpts from Psalm 81:
Sing aloud unto God our strength:
make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob.Thou calledst in trouble,
and I delivered thee….I am the Lord thy God,
which brought the out of the land of Egypt:
open thy mouth wide,
and I will fill it.But my people would not hearken to my voice….
So I gave them up unto their own hearts’ lust….
Oh that my people had hearkened unto me,
and Israel had walked in my ways!I should soon have subdued their enemies….
He should have fed them also
with the finest of the wheat:
and with honey out of the rock
should I have satisfied thee.Psalm 81
Opening my mouth wide to make a joyful noise — that I understand.
Alas, I more often open my mouth to make a mournful noise. 🙁
But opening my mouth wide for God to fill — how do I do that?
Tell me. How is that done?
