Psalm 133

“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” (1).

How pleasant for whom?

For God. For me. For those with whom I live. For those with whom I worship and work and otherwise interact.

People, especially brothers and sisters in Christ, living together peaceably is just good and pleasant.

So what am I doing to live together in unity with them?

And why am I not doing more?

And what more could I be doing?

Here are a few more verses that fit the theme:

“If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men” (Romans 12:18).

“Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another” (Romans 14:19).

“Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves” (Philippians 2:3).

“Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace” (Ephesians 4:3).

“And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful” (Colossians 3:14,15).

“That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me” (John 17:21).

How good! How pleasant!
