“But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed” (James 1:6).

The asking here is for wisdom. That would be God’s views and truths about life and living.

When I ask for wisdom, I must ask with a faithful heart, not wavering in my commitment to live by wisdom which God gives me.

I looked up the verse in my Spanish Bible. Here’s my translation:

“But let him ask with faith, doubting nothing; for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, that is dragged by the wind and thrown from one place to another.”

The uncommitted one doubts God’s wisdom. He doesn’t live by it. As a result, he is extremely unsteady.

I don’t ever want to be that way.

Surely you could add something...
