The enemy facing us has always been the same one.

Yet it seems each generation faces its own unique set of enticements, temptations, and sins.

In our day here in the USA, we struggle against moral perversion, shamelessness, materialism, pleasure, and ease.

Spiritual drift and coldness abound. So does a lack of commitment.

So I thank God for this truth:

“Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father” (Galatians 1:4).

Though Jesus gave Himself some 2000 years ago, His sacrifice yields deliverance for me from this present evil!
