“For the froward is abomination to the LORD: but his secret is with the righteous” (Proverbs 3:32).
God takes the righteous into His confidence!
That strikes me as a good incentive for choosing righteousness today.
Out of curiosity, I looked back a bit in Proverbs….
He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly” (2:7).
The All-Knowing, All-Wise One is setting aside and storing up wisdom for the righteous. And according to James 1:5, He is generous with His wisdom.
“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”
Here’s another swig of water from Proverbs 2:
“When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee: That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous” (10, 11, 20).
Choose wisdom. Choose knowledge. Choose righteousness.
