Would You Know This Papa?

Don't be surprised if you don't!

I wrote some special sentences for my high school Spanish class:

As you can see, I ended up with a nice little story. (I didn’t set out to do that, but things happen.) I should illustrate it.

I struggled for a title:

  • A Potato and a Pope
  • No Hay Papas
  • Of Potatoes and Popes
  • A House Without Papas
  • When a Papa Isn’t What You Expect

“Inbound Heavy B52, You’re Clear…”

“…for landing at Port 5 East.”

“Outbound Light B23, please use Port 2 North.”

Isn’t this a control tower?

Bee hive control tower?

Sorry about the distortion; the shot was taken at long range with the camera cranked up to its full 12X zoom.

To see the above photo in its context, click it.

So, anyway, if those things aren’t control towers for the bee hives, what are they?!

Production primers of some sort?

Sun-powered pre-heaters of some other sort?

Solar nurseries?

I really do want to know!

(And for those of you wanting to know, this photo was taken from our car by Andrew; the location is the north side of Oregon Hwy 211 between Woodburn and Molalla near Kropf Rd — aka Canby-Marquam Highway — about two miles from Yoder.)

Yellow Stuff in a Jar

And in a bottle:

What is that yellow stuff in the jar?!

I saw that stuff by the kitchen sink late last night. So what was I supposed to do, huh? I took the above photo at 10:45 (Pacific).

Early this morning (at 6:35), it looked somewhat different:

What is that yellow stuff in the bottle?!

So, two questions for you:

  1. What is that stuff?
  2. What’s it for?

Post your answers as comments below. I’ll be back in a couple of days or so to update this post with the answers.

Meanwhile, I’m thankful it works for its intended purpose!

PS: If you’re part of my family, please don’t give away the answer. 🙂

Above all, love God!
