Two Christian Brothers in Presidential Debate?

Are Barack Obama and Mitt Romney brothers in Christ and disciples of the Lamb of God? I don’t know.

Both President Obama and Governor Romney testify to Christian faith. (See the quotes at the end of this post.) I take that to mean they both declare themselves to be followers of Jesus.

Well, then, what an opportunity they have to show to millions the effects of the Gospel of Jesus on the life of an individual! Read it all

His Name Is Obama

Use it carefully if you bear God's name!

Obama: How mangled, twisted, and corrupted it becomes in the hearts and tongues of the Talkerati and the Bloggerati.

Obama: The last name of the 44th President of the United States.

So use it properly. Like this:

  • President Obama
  • Mr. Obama
  • Obama

Don’t be disrespectful of the President, like this:

Obummer
Bamster
Bammy
The One
The O
The Zero
The Man-Child
The Anointed One
The Messiah

The Bible tells me so.

“Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king” (1 Peter 2:17).

Yeah, fear God.

If you can’t honor the President and his name for his own sake, do so for God’s sake.

Or will you bear His name in vain as well?

PS: This is apolitical because I’m apolitical. This is an appeal to my fellow Christians.

Did President Obama Say That About Israel?

What did President Obama really say?

Some of what President Obama had to say today regarding Israel is extremely alarming (though hardly surprising) to me.

But my quibble in this post is with what is being reported about part of what he said.

Did he really call for “Israel’s return to pre-1967 borders” as the headline states above?

I didn’t listen to the speech, so I’ll stick my neck out and quote the President from the story headlined above:

“We believe the borders of Israel and Palestine should be based on the 1967 lines with mutually agreed swaps, so that secure and recognized borders are established for both states.”

That seems to me to say something different than what the headline says.

What say you?

A Guide to What Isn’t True

I thought I would introduce you to that blog.

It’s at america.gov and is penned (so to speak) by Todd Leventhal, who “bikes to work year-round” as the State “Department’s expert on conspiracy theories and misinformation.”

Here’s the last paragraph of a short post titled The Obama Birth Controversy:

Interestingly, FactCheck.org determined that Obama was originally both a U.S. citizen and a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies from 1961 to 1963 because his father was from Kenya, which gained its independence from the British Empire in 1963, then both a U.S. and Kenyan citizen from 1963 to 1982, and solely a U.S. citizen after that.

What happened to the President’s British and Kenyan citizenships?

Hey. Don’t go calling me a “birther” now! 🙄

I’m just askin’. I’m just curious how citizenships are shed. Thanks.

PS: Unlike Mr. Leventhal, I walk to work year-round! 😉

Above all, love God!
