I stood at our dining table not that long ago this evening, droopy of eye and droopy of spirit.
Scanning the table for something different, I saw it: a little, dark blue, hardcover book. Daily Strength for Daily Needs, declares the gold print on the spine.
I opened it randomly. Oh, hey! A day-by-day devotional book. And what, pray tell, might I find for today? Read it all
I saw them on my Facebook Newsfeed this morning. Again. 🙄
My early morning mission there was to promote the Sunday School commentaries I had just posted elsewhere online:

I have finished Panting, my very first ebook.
Presently, it is available only as a downloadable pdf. I anticipate having an Amazon Kindle version ready by the end of the week at the latest.

Strangely enough, though, I don’t remember considering that a thankful spirit sweeps away a “negatively self-focused” spirit. Oh, sure, I’ve known (and even taught!) that gratefulness can lift us out of depression and discouragement. But, somehow, I must have missed what being thankful can do to kill being self-pitying.

Six weeks ago, I alerted several thousand readers to A Vision for Fall Quarter 2012.
I am slowly converting that vision into a 52-page book, with two equal-length sections:
What do you suggest for a title for such a book? Read it all
Whether I serve God or whether I serve others — how much difference is there, anyway?! — I’m to do it “heartily” and “from the heart.”
And “with good will”!
