Scenic Views

I used to call this blog Mark’s Views, Perhaps (which should explain the mvp in the URL).

So let me show you three views I held less than an hour ago (I think) this morning, albeit not for very long.

Pampas grass at sunrise past
au natural — that is, flash-free

Pampas grass -- Yoder, Oregon -- not far from, anyway
Flashed pampas grass — did I spell that correctly?

Mark Roth and his volunteer sunflowers
volunteer sunflowers towering over my eight feet

I know, I know — I appear to be off beam in that last photo. My unipod wasn’t level.

What are your views on those views?

Madras, Oregon

We came over to Luke and LaVay’s on Saturday. We plan to head home in another two or three hours. Right now, I’m in town, at the Jefferson County Library. A very nice little library with WiFi Internet access for free. (I’ve even used it when they’re closed, just parked in the street.)

Anyway, I took a few pictures here in Madras this morning. But I’m not going to put them up right now (11:11 am). I don’t have time.

But I wanted to get this post started, so there you are. 🙄

Iced Tea and ITF

“Iced tea I know, but what’s ITF?” you might be asking yourself.

In this case, ITF stands for Iced Tea Forever.

He’s the second tenor in the no-longer-singing-together A Cappella Harmony Quartet.

The purpose of this post is to show him this “staged” photo I took an hour or two ago in our kitchen:

ITF and AHQ

I make the iced tea around here, Tom. And mighty fine iced tea, I dare say — half peppermint, half spearmint. (I really like my Mr. Coffee Iced Tea Maker.)

Yellow Stuff in a Jar

And in a bottle:

What is that yellow stuff in the jar?!

I saw that stuff by the kitchen sink late last night. So what was I supposed to do, huh? I took the above photo at 10:45 (Pacific).

Early this morning (at 6:35), it looked somewhat different:

What is that yellow stuff in the bottle?!

So, two questions for you:

  1. What is that stuff?
  2. What’s it for?

Post your answers as comments below. I’ll be back in a couple of days or so to update this post with the answers.

Meanwhile, I’m thankful it works for its intended purpose!

PS: If you’re part of my family, please don’t give away the answer. 🙂

Above all, love God!
