Smoke-eclipsed sun
We’ve been in the path of totality for several days now, here near Hubbard, Oregon.
The photo shows the sun at 7:49 this morning, shining through clouds and/of smoke from the Oregon wild fires (aka, wildfires) in the Columbia River Gorge near Multnomah Falls — the Eagle Creek Fire, I think they call it.
Multnomah Falls is about 54 road miles away. Looking at a map, that might be some 48.32 bird miles…
