He was alive the last I saw him.
I heard an eyewitness tell law enforcement the cyclist hit a low trailer pulled by an oncoming vehicle. Next he hit the bridge railing. And ended up in the river.
The fire fighters finally got him out.
And many cheers for rescue personnel from Hubbard, Aurora, Woodburn, and elsewhere!
And thanks to God for the cyclist’s survival.
PS: At first I thought it was a body retrieval operation, everything seemed so low key and so forth. I’m glad the guy survived. (I guess he’s a guy. I don’t know much.)
UPDATE: (5:09 am; April 22) Last evening I noticed that several main stream news sites finally had the story, several hours after I “broke” it. 🙄
- Motorcyclist rescued from Pudding River after crash
- Motorcyclist rescued from Pudding River near Hubbard and Aurora
- Motorcyclist thrown into river after crash on Hubbard bridge
- Motorcyclist flips over bridge into Pudding River
They knocked me right out of search results. Oh well. 🙂
Glad to hear that he will live! As I am a rider myself, that was very good to hear! I hope he makes a full recovery.
