A week ago today, Kenneth Miller’s legal representative filed a motion to dismiss the case against his client.
I agree.
However, I still am uncomfortable at “playing games” with whether or not Ken actually helped Lisa Miller and her daughter leave the United States.
I’m sure that legally, it’s wise to used allegedly and its ilk. But if you did it and you’re sure you did it for righteousness’ sake, why not by-pass that bit of legal wisdom and be forthright?
I don’t know.
I do know that I don’t mean to condemn Ken for this approach.
Also, I do know that I don’t know what I would do in his shoes.
May God direct Ken Millers and Timothy Millers and Lisa Miller.
Well, you can read the motion here: Motion to Dismiss 2012-02-29 (pdf).
The Government filed its reply to the motion to dismiss filed by Ken.
Of course, the Government laid out its case as to why Ken’s motion should be denied.
Such is the games that have to be played when the defendent doesn’t just own up to what he’s done (as you suggest) and make his best deal.
I’m posting this message because earlier this evening someone contacted me about how I came by the copy of the Government’s response.
I explained that, and then asked for the inquisitor to identify him/herself and explain how I came to be contacted.
I have not received an answer. I am assuming it is someone close to Ken Miller’s side of the case.
So, does anyone here know what the prospects are that Ken is going to try to make a deal. As with Timo, it looks like the feds have the goods on Ken.
