Ever feel like a loser?
No? Well, I have. (I never thought I would, but now I know different.)
So if you’ve ever thought of yourself as a loser, I understand well enough the discouragement and the sense of uselessness.
“I can’t do anything right!” Yeah, well, check this out:
“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing” (John 15:5).
Jesus stated the matter as a negative. Rather, He used two negatives. So we could interpret that verse to convey this message: “With me, you can do anything.”
Well, then, how about this next verse?!
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (Philippians 4:13).
So there you are — with Christ and through Christ we can go from being a loser to being a victor.
The work, then, is God’s:
“For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure” (Philippians 2:13).
But still I have times — far too many times — when I run out of spiritual steam and emotional energy. God anticipated that also! Drink deeply of the hope in these next two verses:
“He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength” (Isaiah 40:29).
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might” (Ephesians 6:10).
I struggle to implement this in my dark times. Like yesterday.
If you succeed at this, how do you do it?

Awesome post Mark. A good pick-me-up for me personally.
