I said so on Facebook almost half a day ago:
Why is life such an offensive term to many folks?
OK, I’ll grant that it’s not the term in and of itself. It’s the context in which it is used sometimes. Like this:
An Abbotsford mom is threatening to pull her three children out of the Mennonite Educational Institute following an anti-abortion Life Day event at the middle school on Tuesday.
Kristy Greenwell believes administrators at MEI were in the wrong by not notifying parents in advance of a voluntary pro-life demonstration Tuesday in which kids had the option of wearing red stickers that read ‘Life.’
The stickers, an idea that originated Friday afternoon from a Grade 8 girl at the school, were to show student support for unborn fetuses and against abortion.

Suggestion: Next time skip the demonstration, make the stickers available, and be sure to let parents know in advance.
It boggles my mind that so many people celebrate death, whether it’s at the hands of a doctor or at the hands of a Libyan rebel.
Amazingly, even Christians who don’t celebrate the abortion death of a child found it in them to celebrate today’s death of Moammar Gadhafi (aka Muammar Gaddafi and Muammar Muhammad Abu Minyar al-Gaddafi).
But then they also celebrated the death of Osama bin Laden.
