Hey, I just noticed I didn’t change the time for this blog last month! So since the official time change, my posts have been showing two hours earlier than they should have been. What?! I must have adjusted something wrong longer ago. Hang on a bit…I gotta fix that…thanks.
Well, of beauty and ashes…
This morning while puttering around getting my first dose of Nescafé Clásico, I noticed this that I missed yesterday:

Wow! It’s too easy to focus on the ashes of Mexico Missionary plans and EP Teacher visions and Perfect Parenthood mirages. I guess to focus on ashes deprives of the pleasure of enjoying the beauty.
Anyway, I also thought of this book:

And this verse from God (found in Isaiah 61:3)….
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified. |
Thank you, Lord, for beauty for ashes!
