Dandelion Eradication

Dandelion
Eradication
And
Destruction

Because I want them DEAD.

This year we’re doing something different. We’re picking off the tops. That ought to do it.

This morning I picked the ones that were visible. And took them on a walk. Down our driveway to the highway below. Now they’re DEAD.

I even took some photos with my cellphone. Because of image quality issues, I didn’t make the images below Clickable-Into-A-Bigger-Size.

A hand-load of dandelions

My shadow on Kropf Road.

Dumping my dandelions in the middle of the road

Those dandelions as seen from road level and looking toward our mailbox

Dandelions from half way up our driveway
red circle marks approximate location of the dandelions

A small truck scattering and/or smashing the dandelions
Oh, yes!!!
a small truck scatters and/or smashes ’em!

Any practical life lessons here?

Well, that’s how we deal with habits too often. We try to keep the unsightly symptoms and fruits plucked off so the yard of our life doesn’t look so unkempt and unattractive.

The plant needs to die!

The roots need to die!

We need to feed the good and poison the bad.

Ditto for habits.

Right?

    Right on, Brother!
We like to keep our focus on the visible and obvious. And while we need to know “how we look” we also need to be more concerned with the bad roots that are still growing. God help us deal -today!- with the REAL WEED rather than just the “flower”.
