What do you do when you don’t know what to do?
That’s where I am.
“Do what you do know to do.” I’ve heard that one. But how does it answer the question?
“Do something; don’t just do nothing.” Right. OK. Still not very helpful…and potentially perilous.
Look, if I don’t know whether or not to capitalize to in the title, how will capitalizing mark in my name help?!
So…when you don’t know what to do…what do you do?
That is the question. (Shakespeare must have been wrong.)
Between the previous section and the next section is this section. (You could tell, right?) This is the section I wrote (after writing the rest of this post) to tell you that I decided to post a companion piece at Panting Hart. I haven’t written it yet; just researched it. After I write it, I will post it there and then post this here with a link to it there. Get it?
In other non-Shakespeare quotes…
“Again, it is possible that history will be defied, but I am rarely one to bet on that happening.” –Jay Cost
“In my understanding, I am first a subject of King Jesus, a citizen of God’s Kingdom, and only second a grateful citizen of the United States. But my heart does not appear to be true to the principles I profess.” –D.C. Innes
“The Lord must have been mighty pleased that the Israelites had the right stuff, and did not accuse their God of perversity after the first or second prayers seemed to have failed. I feel ashamed just writing all this.” –Andrée Seu Peterson
PS: At first I didn’t capitalize to in the title. I ended up capitalizing it this time for three reasons:
- It isn’t a preposition.
- I felt like it.
- I wanted to make this point.
